Wmw Metal Fabrics Ltd. is located over at plot number 53 in the Jhotwara Industrial Area in Jaipur. If you’ve ever been to this part of Rajasthan, you know it gets pretty dusty and the sun really beats down on the metal roofs here. Our place is basically a large shed where the machines never really seem to stop their noise. We work with metal all day long, so there’s always that sharp, burnt smell of welding or the grinding sound of saws in the background. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The office inside is just a small room with a couple of old desks and a calendar on the wall that’s probably a month behind. We don’t spend much on decorations because the work happens out on the floor. Most of the guys have been here for years and they know the rhythm of the machines better than anything else. Trucks come in and out of the gate at 53 Industrial Area all day, kicking up red dust and making the dogs bark. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the deliveries go out on time. It’s a simple life of hard work, sweat, and metal. We don’t use big words to describe it. We just show up, do the metal fabrication, and head home when the sun goes down.
