Hind Sheet Metal Works

If you come down to Swami Mahaveer Colony in Kartarpura, you'll find us at unit number 10. That's where Hind Sheet Metal Works is located. We've been doing metal fabrication and sheet cutting here for a long time. The workshop is always full of scraps and the sound of machines running. It’s a dusty place, honestly, but that’s just how metal work is. We handle different types of jobs, mostly for local contractors or people who need something specific made. My father started this place, and I've been here since I was a teenager. We don't have a big office or a fancy reception area. Usually, you'll find me or one of the guys near the cutters or the welding station. It's hard work, especially in the summer when the shed gets really hot and the fans don't do much. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the pieces fit together. Sometimes the orders get backed up, but we try to keep moving. The neighbors know us for the noise, but they’re used to it by now. We use some old machines that still work better than the new ones. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the sheets, we cut them, we bend them, and then they go out on a truck. People just drop by with drawings on bits of paper. We prefer it that way instead of formal emails. It feels more real to talk face to face and see the metal.
