M. K. Steel And Decor

M. K. Steel And Decor is situated right on the Main Road in Munshi Colony, inside Lekhra Bhavan. It’s a pretty easy place to spot because we usually have some of our steelwork sitting out front. The colony is quite lively, and there’s always something happening on the main road. We do a lot of work with steel, making things that are both strong and look okay for people's homes. It’s not just about welding; there’s a bit of design involved too, though we don’t call ourselves artists or anything. Most days start with unloading rods and sheets from a delivery truck, which usually blocks the road for a bit. Our shop in Lekhra Bhavan is a bit cramped, but we make it work. There’s a constant sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. We get a lot of walk-ins from the neighborhood asking if we can fix a gate or make a small stand. We try to help everyone out when we have a gap in the schedule. The staff here are local guys who know the area well. We don't have a big marketing plan; word of mouth is mostly how people find out about our steel and decor work. It’s a regular shop with regular people. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It’s a simple way of living and working in Munshi Colony, and we appreciate the people who keep coming back to us.
