Shiv Jee Fabrication

Our workshop is at 4-Ga-2 in Jawahar Nagar Sector 4. We are quite close to Kalpana Chawla Park and the Shiv Temple, so you can often hear the bells or people walking by on their way to the park. It is a noisy place because fabrication involves a lot of cutting metal and welding. There are sparks flying pretty much all day and the sound of grinders is constant. We make all sorts of things like gates, window grills, and frames. The floor is usually covered in metal scraps and iron dust, so we have to sweep it out every evening. We do not have a big office, just a small corner with a desk and some chairs where we talk to people about what they need built. It is hard work and the sun makes the metal very hot to touch if we leave it outside. We try to get things done on time, but sometimes the welding machine acts up or we run out of a specific type of rod. It is just a few of us here doing the labor ourselves. We have been part of the neighborhood for a good while now. It is not a fancy setup, just a practical space where we can hammer things into shape and get the welding done properly so it holds up for years.
