Our place is located at Plot Number 15 in Mahesh Nagar Vistar, not too far from the Tonk Phatak area in Jaipur. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, which we like because it stays a little quieter than the main markets. We work with stones and jewelry, so you’ll often hear the small sounds of tools or things being moved around on the benches. It’s dusty work sometimes, even though we try to keep the tables clean every morning. We have some old wooden chairs that have been with us since we started. They creak a bit when you sit down, but they’re comfortable enough for a long day. The light coming through the front window is best in the morning, so that's when we do the most detailed stuff. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights everywhere. It’s more of a workspace where we get things ready. Sometimes customers come in looking for something specific, and we have to dig through our small drawers to find it. We talk to the postman every day when he brings the parcels. It’s a steady way to spend the time. There’s always some tea being made in the back room. We don't have a big philosophy or anything, we just focus on the pieces in front of us and try to make sure we don't misplace any of the small parts. It’s just us here most days, working away until the evening comes.
