We are over at number 31 in Hanuman Vatika, which is in the Badan Pora area near Gaga Pol. It's a bit of an older section of the city, and the streets can be quite narrow and winding. Our shop is tucked away there in a spot that has been part of the neighborhood for a long time. We spend our days working with different kinds of gems. The space inside is small and cozy, maybe even a bit cramped when we have a lot of work. We don't have any big displays or fancy lighting like the shops in the malls. It’s mostly just us at the tables with our loupes and scales. The neighborhood is lively, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. You can hear the sounds from the street all day long—mostly people chatting or the occasional motorcycle passing by. We’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers around here pretty well over the years. It feels like a small village sometimes, even though we are in the middle of a busy city. We don't really do any big promotions or anything like that. Most of the people who come to see us are regulars or friends of regulars who know where to find us. We just take it one day at a time, looking at stones and making sure everything is handled correctly. It’s a quiet life in a noisy part of town. We like the history of the building and the way the morning light hits the floor.
