Universal Foundry

The workshop is down at B-307 on Road No.16 in the V.K.I. Area. It’s a pretty dusty place, but that’s what happens when you run a foundry. The heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to, especially during the summer months when the air feels thick. We’ve got a lot of sand and molds scattered around the floor. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt. Universal Foundry has been sitting on this lot for a while now. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we all know the rhythm of the pour. Road No.16 is always busy with trucks bringing in scrap or taking away the finished castings. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait around, which is just part of the routine in an industrial area. We don't do anything fancy with the office; it's just a small room with a desk and a couple of chairs where we keep the ledgers. You can hear the hum of the blowers all day long. We just focus on getting the metal right and making sure the molds don't crack. It’s hard work and it gets messy, but it’s what we do. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the address and the work we do.
