Travel Care

Travel Care is located at 1/2 A on M I Road. It’s a small place, easy to miss if you’re driving too fast. We’ve been here for years, just doing the same basic stuff every day. We help people with their travel plans, mostly just sorting out the tickets and making sure they have a place to stay. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the bus shows up on time. The office is a bit cramped. There’s a desk for me and a desk for my brother, and not much else. We have a lot of regular customers who come back every year. They know us by name and we know their families. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't do much online. Most of our work happens over the phone or when people walk through the door. Sometimes the printer jams and we have to spend twenty minutes fixing it. That’s just part of the day. M I Road is always busy, so there’s always something to look at out the window. We like the rhythm of it. We don't have any big slogans or goals. We just show up in the morning, open the shutters, and see who needs help. It’s a simple life and it suits us just fine. We have an old clock that ticks too loudly and a couple of plastic chairs for anyone who wants to sit and wait while we print their vouchers.
