Our office is located at 112, Maliyon Ki Dhani in Tyoda village, which is near Sambhar. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s where we do our work as colonizers. Most of our days are spent dealing with land and property matters in the local area. It’s not a fancy office job; we spend a lot of time out in the fields or walking around different plots of land. We’ve been part of this community for quite a while now. Dealing with land takes a lot of patience and there is always a lot of paperwork to get through at the desk. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of the location, but that is just part of being out here. We know the people around Tyoda and Sambhar pretty well. We don’t use any corporate language or make big promises. We just try to be straightforward with everyone we meet. It’s a simple way of doing business, mostly based on word of mouth and being around for people when they have questions. The work can be slow sometimes because of all the rules we have to follow, but we just keep at it. Most evenings we are just finishing up the files and getting ready for the next day. It’s honest, steady work and it keeps us busy.
