Swastik Steels is situated in Loha Bazar, which is exactly where you’d expect a steel business to be. We are right behind the Esquire building and just in front of Jaipur Golden Transport. Being in the iron market means there is constant movement. There are always heavy trucks backing in and out, and the air is usually thick with dust and the smell of diesel. It’s a loud, busy place to spend your day. Our yard is filled with different types of steel, and we spend most of our time organizing the stacks. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly sit in a small cabin with a fan and a desk that’s seen better days. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We deal with a lot of transporters because of our location next to Jaipur Golden. It makes getting things moved around a bit easier, though the traffic in the bazar can be a nightmare sometimes. We aren't here to give sales pitches. People come to Loha Bazar because they know what they need, and they come to us because we’ve been here for years. We know the regulars by name and we know their families too. It’s a tight community in this market. We work hard, we deal with the heat, and we try to get the steel where it needs to go without any fuss. That is all there is to it.
