Swadeshi Wires & Cables

We are situated at 6/320 Vkia in Vidhyadhar Nagar, right across from the Delhi Public School. Swadeshi Wires & Cables is basically a warehouse and a small front office. We spend most of our time dealing with big rolls of wire and different types of industrial cables. It’s heavy work, moving those drums around. The area is more industrial than residential, so we don't get many random walk-ins. Most of our visitors are electricians or guys working on building sites nearby. We keep the place fairly organized because you can't really afford to lose track of thousands of meters of cable. Sometimes the school traffic makes it hard to get trucks in and out during the morning, but we’ve learned to work around it. We don't have a lot of furniture, just the essentials to get the job done. It’s a bit noisy when the cutting machine is running. We aren't really into fancy marketing or big slogans. We just sell wire. If someone needs a specific gauge, we measure it out and cut it. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have a quiet afternoon when we just catch up on inventory and clear the dust. It’s a simple setup and it works for us. We’ve been in this location for a good while now and know the neighborhood well. It is just a place where we do our work.
