Down in the Jhotwara industrial area, specifically at 116-117-A, things stay pretty busy. We’re Shri Vaibhav Metacast (P) Ltd, and if you walked in right now, you’d probably hear the machines running and see a bit of dust in the air. That’s just how a casting place is. It’s not a quiet job, and it’s definitely not a clean one, but it’s what we do every day. We spend a lot of time around the furnaces and molds, making sure the metal goes where it’s supposed to. Some days are hotter than others, especially in the summer when the heat from the metal and the weather outside hit you at once. We’ve got a small crew here and everyone knows their spot on the floor. It’s not like those big corporate factories you see on TV; it’s more hands-on and a bit rough around the edges. The industrial area can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We focus on the casting work, checking the pieces as they come out and making sure they aren’t warped or messed up. There’s always a pile of scrap in the corner and someone’s always looking for a misplaced tool. It’s just honest work in a busy shop where we try to get through the orders without too much fuss and just get the job done right.
