Running Swabhiman Hostels Private Limited keeps us on our toes every single day. We are located at Plot Number 154 on Janak Marg, which is part of the Hanuman Nagar Extension over on Sirsi Road. It’s a busy part of Sirsi. Managing a hostel isn't exactly a quiet life. There’s always someone coming or going, or something that needs fixing in one of the rooms. We handle the day-to-day stuff like making sure the water is running and the place stays relatively clean. It’s not a five-star hotel, it’s a hostel, so it feels like a big, messy family most of the time. We’ve got students and workers staying with us, and everyone has their own habits. Janak Marg is a good spot because it’s easy for people to find. The office is usually full of keys and registration forms. We don't use any fancy management software; we just write things down and remember faces. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, and we have to hear about it from twenty people at once. That’s just part of the job. We try to make the place feel okay for whoever is staying here. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the maintenance, but we’ve been doing it at this location for a while now. It’s just a normal building on a normal street.
