Sushil Metal Industries

Sushil Metal Industries is at G-457/B in the Vkia area, specifically on Road No 12. Being in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means we are always surrounded by the sounds of other factories and metal being moved around. Our unit is just a standard industrial shed with high ceilings. Inside, it gets very loud whenever the machines are running, so we often have to shout just to talk to each other. We handle a lot of metal work, and because of that, the air usually has a strong metallic smell to it. The floor is made of concrete and is typically covered with small scraps of iron or steel from the day's work. We have a large sliding metal door at the front so that the delivery trucks can back right in. Road No 12 is constantly busy with small tempos and larger lorries moving goods. Our workers wear heavy boots because the floor can be a bit dangerous with all the sharp metal bits. We don't have a proper office, just a small corner with a wooden desk and some old filing cabinets. The clock on the wall hasn't worked in years, but we know when to start and stop by the whistle of the other factories. It’s hot and heavy work, especially during the summer months when the metal roof gets baked by the sun. We take our breaks sitting on whatever crates are nearby. It is a straightforward life here at G-457/B.
