Being near Satrala Circle at J 390 means there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We’ve gotten used to the sound of vehicles passing by all day. Our place is basically a big room filled with fabric. You can smell the cloth as soon as you walk in. There are rolls of different materials stacked up against the walls, sometimes reaching the ceiling. It’s a bit dusty, which is just part of the job when you handle so many textiles. We spend our hours measuring out lengths and cutting them for different orders. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and cloth by the end of the day. We try to sweep up before we leave, but it never stays clean for long. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the books and take calls. The light in here isn't the best, but we know where everything is even in the dark. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We eat our lunch together in the back area, usually talking about the news or the weather. It’s a steady kind of life, working with our hands and making sure the customers get what they asked for. We don't use fancy technology, just old scissors and measuring tapes that have seen better days. It is just a practical workshop for regular people.
