Rupayan

Rupayan is based out of F-106 in the Epip Garment Zone, which is part of the Sitapura Industrial Area. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it is full of factories and large trucks moving fabric back and forth all day long. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of textiles and machinery. Our space is basically a big room where we keep the garments organized. We have high ceilings and some heavy-duty racks that hold everything we are working on. The sun hits the front windows pretty hard in the summer, so we usually keep the blinds pulled down halfway to stay cool. It is not the kind of place you come to for a fancy tour. It is a working industrial unit where we focus on getting the orders ready. We spend hours counting pieces and checking labels to make sure nothing got missed in the rush. The sounds of the sewing machines from the neighboring units are like background music for us. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep our energy up while we move heavy bundles around. It is a straightforward operation without any bells or whistles. Most of the people around here are just trying to get through their shift and head home before the evening traffic on the main highway gets too bad.
