Rajlaxmi Textiles

We are located over at Akib Market in Haji Colony, which is right by Sikar House. Rajlaxmi Textiles is just Shop No. 1 on Plot No. 51. It’s a very simple and straightforward shop where we deal in all sorts of fabrics and cloth materials. Jaipur gets incredibly hot during the summer months, so we usually have the ceiling fans going at full speed all day long. The market area stays humming with people looking for materials for their own work. We are not a big corporation with a board of directors; it’s just us trying to keep the business going. I usually roll up the shutters around ten in the morning and start tidying up. The space inside is filled with huge rolls of fabric stacked almost to the ceiling. Sometimes it is a bit hard to find a specific color right away when things get messy, but we eventually figure it out. We get a lot of local tailors coming in and also people who just want a few meters for themselves. Sikar House is a landmark that everyone knows, so finding us isn't too difficult for most folks. We don't really do any advertising or social media stuff. Most of our customers come because they heard about us from a neighbor or just walked by. It involves a lot of lifting and measuring, which can be tiring, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep things moving.
