Ram Krishna Cloth Store

Our shop is at No. 2 in Haji Colony, right by Sikar House. Ram Krishna Cloth Store has been around this neighborhood for quite some time. We sell all kinds of fabric by the meter. It’s a small shop, so we have rolls of cloth stacked up all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the whole place might tip over, but we know our system. People come in looking for something specific for a wedding or just for daily clothes. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting. Haji Colony is a tight-knit place. We know most of the families who live around Sikar House. It’s not a fancy shopping mall experience. You sit on the floor or a small stool while we show you the different materials. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of fans that work hard in the summer. It’s a simple life. We take our tea breaks together and talk about the news. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just want to keep the shelves stocked and the customers happy with what they buy. Sometimes we run out of a popular color and have to wait for the new shipment, but people are usually patient. We enjoy seeing what people make with the cloth they buy from us. It's been a good journey so far, and we hope to stay in Haji Colony for many more years to come.
