Govind Cloth Store

Govind Cloth Store is located at No. 39 Sikar House in Haji Colony. We are very close to the main cloth market, which makes things a lot more convenient for getting our new stock in without much delay. Our shop is a very straightforward place. We deal in different types of cloth, mostly for people who want to make their own outfits or for small tailors nearby. The shelves are filled with heavy bolts of fabric in almost every color you can think of. We spend a lot of our day unrolling these for customers to see and then rolling them back up neatly afterward. It is a lot of physical work on the arms by the time evening rolls around. The floors are wooden and they creak a bit when you walk over to the back where we keep the heavier materials. We do not have a big marketing plan or fancy flyers. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We have known some of the families in Haji Colony for many years now. They often come in for a chat even when they are not planning on buying anything that day. We keep a small stool near the counter for people to sit on while they wait. The light comes in through the front door in the mornings and makes the fabrics look nice. We just try to provide a decent selection and keep the place tidy.
