Shri Balaji Travels & Mobile Shop

Our shop, Shri Balaji Travels & Mobile Shop, is at Shop No 6 on Ajmer Road. We are right in front of the number 4 dispensary. It’s a funny mix of things we do here. One side of the shop is for travel bookings and the other side is for mobile phones and repairs. It happened because customers kept asking for both. Sodala is a crowded place and being near the dispensary means we see a lot of people. Some come in to book a bus ticket to their village and others just need their phone screen fixed. It’s never quiet. I’m usually sitting behind the counter with a screwdriver in my hand or looking at a computer screen for ticket prices. The shop is small and sometimes we run out of space for all the boxes. We’ve been here for a good few years now. We don't use any fancy language or try to sound like a big company. We’re just a local shop. People know they can come to us for a quick recharge or to find out when the next train leaves. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood. It’s just a normal way to make a living. We try to be helpful and quick because everyone is in a hurry on Ajmer Road. It’s just us doing our bit every day, fixing phones and sorting out travel plans for the folks who stop by Shop No 6.
