Shree Shyam Power Tools

You can find us right in the main Kotputli Bazar, near the Paota bus stand. It’s a very lively area, especially on market days when everyone from the surrounding villages comes into town. The shop is called Shree Shyam Power Tools, and we mostly sell things like drills, grinders, and motors. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of foot traffic. People are always hopping off a bus and stopping in to see if we have a specific part they can’t find back home. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling. We use every inch of space we have because the rent in the bazaar isn’t cheap. It’s usually me and one other person here. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and local builders about which tool is best for their budget. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or try to sell people stuff they don’t need. If a tool is out of stock, we just tell them when the next truck is coming. The noise from the bus stand is constant, with drivers shouting and horns blaring, but you get used to it after a week. We like being part of the local community here in Kotputli. It’s a simple life, opening up the shop in the morning and closing when it gets dark. We just provide good, solid tools to the people who are out there building and fixing things in our town.
