Alpha Power Tools

Our shop is over on Hawa Sarak, specifically on Ganesh Marg. We are located right near the Honda showroom, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Hawa Sarak is a wide road with a lot of traffic, so there is always a hum of cars and bikes passing by. We focus on power tools, so there is usually the sound of someone testing a drill or a saw in the back. It can get pretty noisy during the peak hours. The shop floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear and tear over the years. We keep the drills and grinders on display racks so people can see them easily. We don’t do any fancy marketing; we just put the stuff out and let people look for themselves. Sometimes the fans don't work that well, so it gets a bit stuffy in the summer months. We spend a lot of time unboxing new arrivals and checking the cords and plugs to make sure everything is okay. It’s a straightforward business. Most of our customers are contractors or guys who do their own repairs at home. They usually know exactly what voltage or size they need, so we just grab it from the shelf for them and write the bill. We have a small desk where we handle the money, and there’s usually a stack of old newspapers sitting in the corner. It’s just a regular place where we sell tools to people.
