Agarwal Abrasives is tucked away in Gopal Ji Ka Rasta, specifically in Ganga Mata Ki Gali. It’s right in the heart of Johri Bazar, which is always packed with people and rickshaws moving about. Our spot is G M 7. We have been working with abrasives for a long time now, and we've seen the bazar change quite a bit over the years. If you need something for grinding or smoothing down surfaces, we probably have it sitting on a shelf somewhere in the back. The lanes here are very narrow, so it’s much better if you’re walking instead of trying to bring a vehicle. It gets a bit noisy in the bazar with all the shouting and traffic, but we like the energy of the place. We aren't a big corporation, just a family-run business that knows a thing or two about sandpaper and grinding wheels. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact item in the stacks of boxes, but we usually know where everything is. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the shop or anything like that. It’s mostly just boxes and the smell of industrial materials. People come to us because we’ve been here in the same spot for a long time. We keep it simple. You come in, tell us what you’re working on, and we see what we have that fits the job. It is a humble way to make a living, but it keeps us busy and we like the community here. We are part of the local fabric.
