Our place covers a few spots here in Jhotwara, from 90-A through to 91-B. It’s a big area, which is necessary because steel rolling takes up a lot of physical room. The mills are noisy, and you can feel the concrete floor vibrate when things are really moving fast. We’ve got a lot of stacks of steel lying around the yard, waiting to be loaded onto trucks. The Jhotwara industrial area is always busy, so there’s a lot of traffic and noise outside our gates. Sometimes it’s hard for the bigger trailers to turn in, but we managed to figure it out over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the heavy machines. We keep the paperwork in a small room near the entrance that stays a bit cooler than the rest of the mill. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the rollers to make sure everything is coming out right. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. The walls are mostly a faded grey, and there’s iron dust on almost every surface. We eat lunch in the small staff room or sometimes just out by the loading bay if the weather isn't too hot. We’ve been operating this way for a long time. It’s not a complicated business, just turning out steel day after day. If you need someone, they’re usually out on the floor, not sitting in a chair. We prefer staying busy with the metal and getting things done.
