Shree Sakhdatar Steels

Our place is at No. 401/7, right in the middle of Loha Mandi on B S Road. It is one of those spots where you always hear the sound of metal hitting metal. It never really gets quiet around here until very late. Shree Sakhdatar Steels is just a regular setup with a lot of heavy stock sitting around. We spend a lot of time checking the lists and making sure the piles of steel are where they should be. B S Road is always jammed with traffic, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their deliveries sorted out. You get used to the smell of grease and the gray dust that seems to cover everything after a few hours. The shop floor is not exactly organized like a grocery store, but we know where things are kept. If you are looking for 401/7, you just look for the big gates. We don't really do much else besides handle the steel and talk to the drivers who come through. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there waiting for the lights to flicker back on so we can get back to work. It’s just honest work, really. There is no air conditioning in the main area so we just drink a lot of tea and keep moving. It is a bit cramped sometimes when a new shipment arrives and we have to find space.
