Chani Fashions

Chani Fashions is located in Shastri Nagar, specifically at 1 G H A 40 in the Housing Board Colony. We are quite close to Lanka Puri. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s not as loud as the main markets in town. Our shop is part of the colony life. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the neighbors by name. We handle various types of clothing and tailoring. The front of the building is where we meet people, and the back is where all the sewing happens. There’s usually a pile of alterations waiting to be done. We try to get through them as fast as we can, but we don't like to rush. Quality takes a bit of time. The lighting in the shop isn't always great, so we sometimes have to take fabrics outside to see the real color in the sun. It’s a little quirk of our building. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy neon signs. Most of our work comes from word of mouth in the Housing Board Colony. People tell their cousins or friends about us when they need something. We appreciate that support. It’s a quiet life here in Shastri Nagar. We keep the shop tidy when we can, but with all the patterns and pins, it’s a constant battle. We just keep sewing and helping out the local folks who stop by. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay.
