Shanker Machinery Products sits right on Jhotwara Road. We are directly opposite Kanti Chandra Road, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you’re driving by. The traffic on Jhotwara Road is constant, so there’s always a bit of a buzz. Our building is an older one, and we’ve been using it to house our machinery and parts for quite some time. It’s not a clean or quiet place. There’s usually a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. That’s just the nature of dealing with machinery. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, it’s just one or two of us handling the orders and talking to people who walk in. We don't use any scripts or fancy talk. We just tell people what we have and what it does. The shelves are packed with parts, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact one, but we always get there in the end. We’ve seen a lot of businesses in this area change hands over the years, but we’ve stayed put. It suits us here. The location is convenient for getting things shipped out without too much trouble. We just keep our heads down, look after the stock, and make sure things are ticking along like they should every single day. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us and our regulars who stop by.
