Sant Appliances

Jayanti Market is always a bit of a scramble, and we are right in the thick of it at S-8. If you have ever been to the market, you know it is loud and crowded with people looking for all sorts of things. Our shop, Sant Appliances, is a small spot compared to some of the big stores, but we have what people need. We don't have fancy lighting or air conditioning that works all the time. It is just a shop floor with shelves full of appliances and a small counter where we talk to customers. Most of the people who come in are looking for something specific for their house and they don't want a long sales pitch. They just want to know if it works and how much it costs. We spend our days dealing with the noise from the hallway and the smell of street food from outside. It is a very lived-in space. There are stacks of boxes in the corner and sometimes the floor needs a good sweep, but we are usually too busy helping someone. We don't have a big corporate philosophy. We just want to make sure the appliances we sell are decent and that we stay in business. It is a simple life in a busy market. We know the other shopkeepers and we all just try to get through the day. That is just how the market works for us.
