You can find us at Showroom 107 in Tripolia Bazaar. Being in the bazaar means it is never quiet. From the moment we open the doors, there is the sound of traffic and people bargaining outside. We sell all kinds of kitchen utensils, or what we call bartan. We have big brass pots, stainless steel plates, and all the small things like spoons and peelers that a kitchen needs. A lot of families come here when they are getting ready for a wedding because they need to buy things in bulk. The showroom is packed from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to move around without bumping into a stack of tiffins or a big kadhai. We have been here for years, and the shop has a certain look that hasn't changed much. We don't use any computers for the sales, just the old-fashioned way with a pen and a notebook. It works fine for us. My father started this and now we just keep it going. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the street, so we often share a cup of tea while waiting for the next person to walk in. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but in a place like Tripolia Bazaar, that’s exactly what people expect. We just show the items, talk about the weight and the metal, and get it packed up for the customers to take home.
