Samurai Art & Gift Shop

You can find us inside the City Palace area, specifically within the Sawaiman Singh II Museum Trust. It’s a beautiful place to work every day. Being at Samurai Art & Gift Shop means we see a lot of people walking through. Most of them are just visiting the museum. We spend our time dusting the shelves and arranging the gifts so they look okay. It's not a massive shop, but it’s packed with different items. We’ve got all sorts of bits and pieces that people like to take home. The atmosphere around the palace is quite something, very different from a regular street. Sometimes it gets really crowded when a tour group comes by. Other times, it’s just us sitting here listening to the birds or the tourists talking outside. We help people find what they need without making a big deal out of it. We aren't doing any hard selling. If someone likes a piece of art, they buy it. We just keep the place tidy and make sure everything is priced right. It’s a steady job in a nice location. We’ve been part of the museum trust area for a while. It’s a good spot to spend the day. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to be in such a historic place. We just keep the shop running.
