Alankriti The Art Studio

Our studio is tucked away at 122-B in Vidhyadhar Nagar, specifically in Shankar Colony. It’s a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main roads, which is good for the kind of work we do at Alankriti The Art Studio. You’ll usually find the smell of paint or the sound of someone working on a project if you walk by. We aren't a big commercial gallery with white walls and spotlights. It’s more of a working space where things get a little messy. Brushes are drying in jars and there are sketches all over the place. We started this because we wanted a place in Shankar Colony where art could just happen without too much fuss. People from the neighborhood drop in sometimes to see what is being made. We don't have a corporate strategy or a polished way of talking about our art. We just pick up the tools and get to work every day. The light in this part of Vidhyadhar Nagar is pretty good in the afternoons, which helps when you’re trying to get the colors right. It is a small, personal operation and we like keeping it that way. We aren't trying to be famous; we just want to keep creating things and keep the studio open for as long as we can. It takes a lot of patience to finish a piece, but we have plenty of that. Sometimes we just sit and look at the walls until a new idea comes.
