Our office is situated near the Malviya Nagar Delhi Bypass Road, specifically on Jalta Road. Being so close to the highway makes it a busy area, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks passing. We use a small room to keep our logs and answer the phones. Most of the day is spent talking to drivers and making sure they know their routes. We deal with a lot of people trying to get into the city or out to the villages. Since the phone rings at all hours, it is not a very quiet job. We don't have a big corporate setup with lots of computers. A couple of old desks and some paper notebooks are what we use to keep track of the bookings. When the roads are blocked or a car has a flat tire, the whole afternoon is spent fixing the schedule. It gets a bit stressful if a group is waiting and the driver is stuck in traffic. Having worked from this same spot for a long time, we know the bypass road and the shortcuts better than most. We don't try to sound like a big company because we aren't one. We are just a local business trying to help people get where they need to go. It is hard work, but there is never a boring day with travelers. Everyone who comes through has a different story about their journey.
