S S Hydraulics & Pneumatic Tools

Our place, S S Hydraulics & Pneumatic Tools, is located in the Unnati Tower. That’s in the Central Spine area of Vidhyadhar Nagar, specifically room 209. It’s a commercial building, so there are always people going up and down the lifts and stairs. Being on the second floor means we’re away from the street noise, but it’s still a busy atmosphere inside the tower. We deal with a lot of heavy tools and hydraulic parts, which can be a bit of a challenge to move into an office building. We’ve worked out a system for getting things up here though. The space is mostly organized with shelves for different types of pneumatic fittings and valves. It’s not a showroom; it’s more of a distribution point and a place to talk shop. The lighting is that typical office fluorescent style. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the stock levels against what people are asking for. Vidhyadhar Nagar is a well-planned area, so it’s easy for people to find us once they get to the Central Spine. We see a lot of the same faces, mostly mechanics or factory supervisors who need a specific part to get their machines running again. It’s a technical kind of job, but we talk about it in plain terms. No one has time for complicated talk when a machine is sitting idle. We just find the right tool and move on.
