S. K. Steel

If you are looking for S. K. Steel, you have to head out to the V.K.I. Area. We are on Road Number 6 at Plot F-600 A. It is pretty easy to find because we are right near the L.G. Godawan, which everyone knows. The area is very industrial so there is always dust and the sound of big trucks moving around. We spend most of our time out in the yard checking the stock. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We are usually covered in a bit of grit by lunchtime. We have a small office space but we prefer being where the action is near the gates. The sun gets really hot on the metal during the summer months but we have been doing this so long we don't think about it much anymore. We handle a lot of different steel items and it keeps us moving. Most of the drivers who come here have been visiting us for years. We know their names and where they are heading. It’s a straightforward job. We get the steel in, we sort it out, and then it goes back out to someone who needs it for a shed or a factory. There isn't much more to it than that. We just stay focused on the work and try to get home before the sun goes down completely. It is a solid way to make a living and we like the routine of it all.
