Our place is at 353 on the first floor of the Sawarda Complex. It’s tucked away in Khajnaewalo Ka Rasta, which is just off Indira Bazaar in the Jaipur GPO area. You have to walk up the stairs to find us. We specialize in Bandhani work, so the shop is usually filled with the smell of fresh dyes and the sound of fabric being snapped straight. The complex is an older building and it has that specific Jaipur feel to it. We don't have much of a storefront on the ground, so you really have to look for the sign. Inside, we have piles of tied and dyed cloths everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We sit on the floor mostly to work and show the pieces to anyone who drops by. The light from the small windows isn't the best, but we have some tube lights fixed up. We handle everything from simple scarves to heavy suits. It’s a family-run thing, really. We don't bother with a lot of talk. If someone likes a pattern, they take it. We spend our days checking the knots and the colors. The heat in the afternoon can be a lot, but we have the overhead fans going. It’s just how we’ve been doing things for a long time in this part of town. We stay busy with the local orders mostly.
