Jain Tant House

Jain Tant House is located in Murlipura, and we usually tell people we are via Jobner in the Kodhi area so they can find us easier. It is a quiet spot most of the time. My father started this business a long time ago with just a few basic tents and some wooden chairs. Now we have a bit more, but it is still just a small local operation. We spend most of our mornings checking the ropes and looking for holes in the fabric that need patching up. The wind can be quite strong around here, so we have to be careful about how we set things up at the sites. We don't do any big advertising. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor tells them about us. We handle a lot of the local village ceremonies and small gatherings. It is not always easy work, and sometimes we have to stay up all night at a site to make sure everything stays in place. The truck we use is getting old, and sometimes it doesn't want to start on cold mornings, which makes us late. But we get there eventually. We keep our supplies in a shed that is a bit cramped now. Dealing with the wedding season is always a rush, and we barely have time to eat. When it’s over, we just sit back and take it slow for a while. That is just how it goes here in Murlipura.
