Damodar Trading Company

Damodar Trading Company is located right in the thick of things at the New Cloth Market. We are at Shop No. 42, which is in the Hazi Colony area near Sikar House. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know how it is—busy, loud, and full of people looking for a deal. Our shop is where we spend all our daylight hours. It’s not a big space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We’ve got shelves stacked high and a small desk where we handle the books. We don't use much in the way of fancy technology; a lot of our work is still done with pen and paper. It feels more reliable that way. The Sikar House area is always buzzing, and you get to know the other traders pretty well. We often share a meal or a tea while we talk about how the market is moving. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We’re just local traders doing our best to keep things running smoothly. Some days are long, and the market can be exhausting, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been at it long enough that it’s just second nature to us now. Shop 42 is home. We just open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings, handling each order as it comes.
