The office sits on Sikar Road in the Ambabari area right across from Bhawani Niketan School. During the mornings and afternoons, you can hear the school bells and the kids yelling when they get out of class. It is a busy stretch of road with a lot of trucks and cars going by all the time. Inside we have a couple of old desks and some plastic chairs for whoever drops in. There are piles of paper and some old calendars on the walls. We handle a lot of travel arrangements for people going out of Jaipur or coming in for visits. It is mostly just about checking schedules and making sure the vehicles are ready to go. The floor is tiled and we sweep it out every morning, but the Sikar Road dust always finds its way back in. We have a small cooler for water in the corner which gets used a lot in the summer months. It is not a very big space but it works for what we do. Usually, one of us is busy with the computer while the other talks to someone about a bus or a car rental. It gets pretty loud when the traffic jams up outside, which happens almost every evening. We just keep things running and try to stay on top of the bookings. We usually have some newspapers lying around for people to read while they wait for their tickets.
