Shyam Nagar is a bit different from the old city markets. It is a bit more spread out here on Janpath. We are at D-43. Rays Power Consultants is where we handle a lot of technical stuff regarding power and solar. It is not a workshop with loud noises, but more of an office where we look at drawings and maps. We have a few computers that are always running hot. The sun in Jaipur is strong, which is good for the solar work we consult on, but it makes the walk from the car to the office quite a task. We spend a lot of time discussing how to get things set up for clients. It involves a lot of reading and checking regulations. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of people. We are just a small group trying to figure out the best way to use the energy we have. The walls are mostly bare, except for some charts and a calendar that is usually marked up with deadlines. We drink a lot of coffee here. Sometimes we have to go out to sites, which means spending hours under the open sky. It is tiring work, but it feels good to be part of something that makes sense for the future. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look at the numbers and tell people what works. It is simple enough.
