Rameshwar Iron Store

Rameshwar Iron Store has been sitting near the Subhash Petrol Pump on Jaipur Road for a long time. It’s a dusty place, mostly because of all the iron rods and sheets we keep stacked up. If you’re driving down Jaipur Road, you’ve probably seen the piles of metal sitting out near the entrance. We sell all sorts of iron goods to builders and local guys doing home repairs. It gets really busy in the mornings when the trucks arrive to drop off more stock. We spend a lot of time moving heavy stuff around, so it’s a good workout if nothing else. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy building with plenty of storage space. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we’re here because we’ve been around forever. My cousin and I handle most of the daily stuff, from taking orders to helping load up the trailers. It can be a bit chaotic when three customers show up at once and they all want different lengths of pipe cut. The sun hits the front of the store pretty hard in the afternoon, making the iron hot to the touch. We usually take a break then and sit in the shade of the overhang. It’s a straightforward business. We buy iron, we sell iron, and we try to keep the inventory organized so we don’t lose track of what we have. It’s just us doing our thing on the side of the road. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we lock up.
