We are located on the Purani Delhi Road in Shahpura. This is where we sell all kinds of metal utensils for the kitchen. The shop is filled with stainless steel pots, brass plates, and large cooking vessels. When you walk inside, there is a very specific smell of metal and polish. We have stacks of thalis that reach very high, and we have to be careful not to knock them over. If a pile falls, the clanging noise is loud enough to be heard across the street. Being on the main road means we see a lot of different people, from local farmers to families traveling through the area. A lot of our business comes from people getting ready for a wedding, as they need to buy large sets of dishes for the guests. We also sell smaller things like spoons, bowls, and pressure cookers. The wooden counter is old and has some scratches from all the heavy metal we have slid across it over the years. We do not do any fancy advertising; people just know we are here when they need something that lasts. It is a lot of hard work moving the heavy stock around, especially when new crates arrive. The sun can be very hot on this road, so we keep a cool water pot for ourselves and the customers. It is just an honest business that has been serving the highway traffic for years.
