You can find us at number 22 in the Dada Bachi Market. We’re right along Sikar Road, which is always a hive of activity. Working with steel means we spend a lot of time out in the shop or dealing with deliveries. The market itself is quite old and has its own rhythm. We’ve got a decent-sized space for the steel rods and sheets we keep in stock. It’s not the cleanest job, as there is always a bit of metal filings or dust on the floor. We open up early and usually stay until the sun starts to go down. Most of our days are spent checking measurements and talking to contractors who come by. The noise from Sikar Road is pretty constant, so you have to speak up a bit when you're in the office. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the inventory inside out. The building we’re in has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough for what we need. We don't bother with fancy signs or anything; people usually find us because they know we're in the market. It’s a practical setup. We just want to make sure the steel goes out to where it's needed without too much fuss. Every day follows the same pattern of keeping track of the stock and making sure the trucks are loaded right. We just stick to what we know and get the job done. It is hard work but we have been at it for a long time.
