You can find PRITHVI CONTRACTORS PRIVATE LIMITED over at Flat Number 156 in Block 10 of South Avenue, E-8 Shahpura. It’s an apartment we converted into an office space. It works well for us because it’s a central place for everyone to meet up. We have a couple of computers in the living area and some filing cabinets in the back. Shahpura is a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside. We do a lot of contracting work for various clients. Most days are spent chasing down permits or checking on materials. We have a small balcony where we sometimes take our breaks. It’s a bit cramped when the whole crew is here, but we make it work. We’ve been operating from this flat for a few years. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel to it. There’s always a box of sweets or some snacks on the table. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in. We deal with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to architects. It’s a mix of everything. Sometimes the lift in the building is broken, so we have to take the stairs. That’s just part of being here. We focus on the daily tasks and try to stay on top of the schedule. It’s a small operation but we keep moving. Everyone knows where Block 10 is in South Avenue.
