Prem Plywood &Haroadware

If you head down Jobner Road in the Kalwad area, you will find us near the petrol pump. Prem Plywood &Haroadware is easy to spot because of the stacks of thick wood usually sitting near the main entrance. We have been at this location for many years. The shop is always full of the strong scent of cut timber and glue. We have all sorts of plywood sheets, hinges, and boxes of screws piled up high. It is a bit of a maze inside. I usually tell people to watch their step because there is always a stray piece of wood or a bucket of nails somewhere on the floor. My brother and I run the place together. We don't have any fancy uniforms or anything. We just wear whatever is comfortable for moving heavy boards around all day. The location near the petrol pump is handy for people passing through the Jaipur G P O area. We get a lot of local carpenters and guys who are building their own houses. They come in, tell us what they need, and we pull it from the stacks in the back. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific type of laminate, which takes a bit of time. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard in July, but we know where to put the buckets. We don't use much technology here, just a ledger and some pens.
