We set up here in Sector 19 of Pratap Nagar quite a while back. Sanganer is always busy, especially around our little corner at 195/27. Most days, it’s just us surrounded by rolls of cloth and the sound of the sewing machines going in the back. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans running and stay busy with whatever orders come through the door. People from the neighborhood stop in to see what we have on the racks or to ask about getting something fixed up. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow street, which makes things a bit tight, but that’s just how it is around here. We spend a lot of time sorting through colors and trying to keep the dust off the finished pieces. It isn’t fancy, and the chairs are a bit old, but the work gets done. There’s always a tea stall nearby if we need a break from the cutting table. Most of the regulars know us by name now. We don't really do much big advertising, mostly just people walking past and seeing the sign or hearing from a cousin about where we are. It’s a simple life running a shop in Sanganer. We open up early and usually stay until the sun is well down, just folding clothes and chatting with whoever wanders in for a look.
