Prakash Machinery Centre

Our shop, Prakash Machinery Centre, is located at No 58-59 on Sansar Chandra Road. We are right across from the Jain Mandir, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being on this road means we are in the middle of a lot of activity. It’s a busy street with people constantly passing by on their way to work or visiting the temple. We’ve been at this location for a good many years now. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of machinery parts and tools. We don't have much room for a fancy display, so everything is just stacked where it fits best on the shelves. It’s a bit cramped inside, but we know where everything is kept. We start the day by opening the big metal shutters and letting some air in. It gets quite dusty with the road right there, so we spend a bit of time every morning cleaning off the counters. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People mostly know us because they’ve been coming here for a long time or they happened to see the sign while they were stuck in traffic. It’s a straightforward business for us. We show up, we help the customers who come in, and we close up when the day is done. It’s not always easy with the noise and the heat, but it’s what we do. We’re just a regular part of the street here.
