Our base of operations is over in Jawahar Nagar. It’s the kind of neighborhood where people still recognize their neighbors on the street. We started doing this because we enjoyed helping out with local celebrations and it just grew from there. It isn't a massive operation with a glass office and fancy furniture. Most of the time, our workspace is filled with bags of balloons, rolls of ribbon, and boxes of decorations for the next job. It can get pretty cluttered when we are in the middle of a busy week. We don't have a marketing department or any slick brochures. Most people find out about us just by talking to their friends or seeing us work at another party. We do the basic things that make an event run smoothly. That means showing up when we said we would, getting the tables ready, and making sure the lights actually turn on. It is practical, hands-on work. Sometimes we are out quite late at night cleaning up after everything has finished. Jawahar Nagar is a good spot for us because we can get to almost any part of the city fairly quickly from here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure a birthday or a family get-together goes off without any major problems. We talk to people plainly and tell them what is possible. It’s a small team, just a few local folks who don’t mind a bit of hard work to get things ready.
