You can find us right at the Jaipur Railway Station, near the Polovictory Hotel. It’s probably one of the busiest places in the whole city. There is always the sound of whistles and people shouting, and the smell of the food stalls is everywhere. Our little spot is right in the middle of it all. I’ve been working here for years, and I’ve seen all sorts of people come and go. It’s a small office, and it gets quite hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars and a clock that’s five minutes fast. Most people who come to us are tired from their train journey and just want to get to their destination quickly. I try to get them a car as fast as I can, but sometimes the traffic near the station is just a nightmare. I don't have a big staff, usually just me and a couple of drivers who hang out nearby waiting for their turn. We keep it very simple here. You tell me where you’re going, and I tell you what it costs. No fancy talk or complicated bookings. It’s a lot of work staying on top of the train schedules, but it keeps the day moving quickly. I wouldn't know what to do with myself in a quiet office.
