Neeraj Frame & Art Gallery

Our workshop is located at 183 Hatwara Road in the Shanti Nagar area of Sodala. It is a place filled with the smell of wood and the sound of saws cutting through frames. We spend most of our time measuring glass and fitting pictures into various borders. There is always a layer of fine dust on the workbenches no matter how much we sweep. People bring in all sorts of things like old family photos or new paintings they bought on vacation. We have stacks of wood moldings leaning against the walls and glass sheets tucked safely in the corners. It is a quiet kind of work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific color of matting for a long time. The shop is not very large so we have to be careful where we step. Shanti Nagar is a decent place to work and we have been at this address for a while now. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby and they just drop off their things and come back a week later. We do not do anything fancy with marketing or ads. People just know we are here on Hatwara Road. We just keep our tools sharp and our hands busy. It is satisfying to see a finished frame and know it will hang on someone's wall for a long time. I usually stay until the sun goes down to finish the big orders so they are ready for pick up in the morning.
