Our workshop is over in the Sitapura Industrial Area, specifically at number 26 on Honda Kisan Marg near Tonk Road. It is an industrial part of town, so there are a lot of factories and warehouses around us. We focus on making different kinds of art pieces and decorative items. The space is often filled with the sounds of tools and the smell of paint or whatever materials we are using that week. It isn't a showroom like you would see in a mall; it is more of a working space where things actually get built by hand. We have a small team of people who handle the carving and the finishing. Most of our days are spent on the floor, working on various projects that need to be completed. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic because of the location, but we are always busy with the orders we have. The building is just a standard industrial unit, nothing too pretty to look at from the outside. Inside, though, we have all our supplies stacked up against the walls. We try to keep some order, but when you are making art, things tend to get a bit messy. It is hard work, but we like being in this part of Jaipur where things are being made every day. It feels good to finish a piece.
